This committee provides ways for the people of our congregation to demonstrate our love of God to our neighbours in our community.
They coordinate outreach programs locally, nationally, and internationally. They set goals for our mission and service funds and decide how special envelopes are used.
The Outreach Committee, through various fundraisers, prepares Personal Care Kits for distribution to those in need. From time to time, the Outreach Committee selects a special project to support.
We support :
- Fareshare Food Bank, Oakville
- Ian Anderson House , a hospice located in Oakville
- Kerr Street Ministries (Oakville), in both the Children's Summer Camp and the Christmas Family programs
- Kinark Child & Family Services, Oakville, in establishing a Birthday Program
- Lighthouse for Grieving Children, Oakville, providing a haven for children experiencing loss
- Lighthouse Shelter in Oakville, providing shelter for those needing a temporary home
- Sleeping Children Around the World, an ongoing global bed-kit program for children
- United Church Mission & Service Fund
- Wesley Urban Ministries in Hamilton, in both their 24-hour emergency shelter and their No-Charge Christmas Store
