The Finance Committee keep the books of the church. They prepare the church budget and monthly financial statements for presentation to the Board and Executive.
They decide on the systems to be used and invest short term excess cash in GICs, and savings.
They distribute offering envelopes, count the collections and maintain a record of contributions. It is their responsibility to maximize the use of the facilities and set rental fees for weddings, funerals and rental groups in conjunction with staff.
They oversee the Auction Sale committee, the Turkey Dinner committee and administrative staff. They are also responsible for the lease or purchase of office and telecommunications equipment.
