Location and Facilities

Walton has an excellent, highly accessible location at the corner of Lakeshore Road West and Bronte Road, in the historic lakeside community of Bronte. We overlook the sailboats in scenic Bronte Harbour and Lake Ontario.

We are easy to find, just minutes off the Q.E.W. on the border between Oakville and Burlington. We have a well-landscaped front lawn with gracious 100 year old maple trees providing shade where you can gather with your guests (weather permitting) after the service.

Walton has over 85 parking spaces and additional off site parking a few moments away. There are no meters that your guests need to put coins into or parking tickets to pay. There are many of the most popular Wedding Reception facilities in the whole area close to the Church. Other facilities are easily accessible along the Q.E.W. or 407

The turn of the Century Walton Sanctuary, where the service is conducted, is a designated historical building by the Town of Oakville. The brass plaque on the outside of the main tower entrance area tells you this is an historically and architecturally significant Church site.

The Church is extremely well-maintained by our three caretakers, with a beautiful red carpeted center aisle for the Bride to walk down. There is lovely woodwork, real oak pews, and beautiful stain glass all around that gives a warm feel to the facility.

The main floor seats 120 plus in lovely curved pews with a slightly slanted floor to improve both visibility and acoustics. There is a balcony, which is ideal to use to shoot wide angle shots, group shots, and to use a video camera. The balcony seats approximately 65 people.

All levels of the facility are accessible by a modern elevator and we are handicapped-friendly. There are more than adequate washroom facilities, plus private areas for the Groom and Bride and their parties to wait separately before the service.

The Sanctuary is well-vented on all sides. The fans and the breezes off Lake Ontario cool in the summer and moderate the cold in the winter.

The location is picture perfect. The facility makes a wonderfully warm place for your special gathering, with the opportunity for beautiful wedding photography, both inside and out.

The Church is also close to many lovely parks and the waterfront for photographs with family and friends after the service.
