Choirs

There are three choirs at Walton involving approximately 80 members.

Junior Choir (Grades K - 5, 12 members)
Youth Choir (Grades 5 - 12, 25 members)
Senior Choir (40 members)

General Schedule of Sunday Service Performances

The combination of a large congregation (over 500 members) and small building (seating 250 at one time) requires Walton Memorial United Church to hold two services Sunday mornings, from usually the third Sunday in September to the first Sunday in June. The second Sunday in June is for the Annual Picnic Service, and there are two services, but both are at 10am; one at Walton, and the second Picnic Service at a second location. The Junior Choir sings at Picnic Service.

Because of having two services, the Senior Choir alternates between the early (9:30) and late (11:00) services. In order to balance the availability of music for the congregation at both services, the following schedule as been developed.

When the Senior Choir sings at the early service (9:30), the Junior Choir sings one Sunday at both early & late services.

When the Senior Choir sings at the late service (11:00), the Junior Choir sings two Sundays at the early service only.
